My cousin has a joke with his wife about her dad commenting how pallets are money left lying around. Now, whenever I see pallets, I think about that joke. Position Description 

Position Purpose

The Regional Execution Manager will develop, implement, and drive key strategies and processes surrounding the adherence and continuous improvement of Zero Harm, Operations, HR, Transportation, Regulatory Compliance, and the Strategic initiatives of the business. 

Major/Key Accountabilities
  • Partners with leadership to develop and implement key Operations, HSE, and HR programs and initiatives at the plant/facility level.
  • Lead and ensure regional compliance with all applicable standards, policies, licensing/certification requirements, and regulatory initiatives including but not limited to:
  • Internal Zero Harm Policy & Initiatives
  • Brambles Injury Frequency Rate
  • First Aid Reporting
  • Near Miss Reporting
  • Root cause analysis
  • Risk Mitigation Development and Implementation
  • HR policy adherence and general recruiting/turnover/wage initiatives
  • DOT Compliance
  • Federal and Local municipality regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOL, EEOC, ect)
  • Heat Treating Compliance
  • Provides guidance and direction to managers in consultation with Recycled Leadership, HSE, HR, and company’s legal counsel on legal and compliance issues, including Worker’s Compensation, DOT, OSHA violations and Safety.
  • Conduct and/or assist with investigations of reported or identified allegation of violations
  • Partner with HR team to drive local employee engagement initiatives as well as reducing turnover.
  • Delivers role related trainings at the local level and participates in and supports the company’s overall training initiatives
  • Drive leading indicator safety programs such as Near Miss to establish a proactive approach to Zero Harm performance
  • Develops, implements, and drives risk mitigation strategies and processes based on Zero Harm data and trends
  • Extensive travel to facility locations supporting field management in remediation of identified gaps in compliance and business performance

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years diversified experience in safety, compliance, HR, operations/administration in a manufacturing or distribution facility
  • Experience managing safety performance and programs
  • Experience interacting effectively with all levels of employees and supporting a general labor workforce in a manufacturing, logistics or warehouse environment
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to build good relationships with plant level and corporate personnel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Expert people management capability including hourly employees
  • Proven ability to execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives
