Negatising is an idea I came up with while observing litter and comnemplating whether Barnum could possibly have been right - I think the quote often attributed to him regarding there not being suc a thing as bad advertising is simply false. I believe when people see something like trash it either does not phase them ("neutral"), or upsets them ("negative"). I do not know anyone who is universally excited at the sight of litter. Found objects are one thing, but by definition an exception to the rule.
