certifications and sources of information similar to what Hooze was trying to aggregate as a base for consumer information
These are sources from Good Guide - an interesting approach would be to see if the sources they are using HAVE the company roll up data in their export file and Good Guide is just not using it because it's not the way they have their site designed. Their focus is products: ours is companies. If their sources (below are a few) would be willing to provide us with the same type of data flow, we could map the data to the companies instead, gaining some good content. http://www.rspo.org/ ALSO Hooze resources: http://www.alternativeconsumer.com/ Good material on market for one issue: fair trade - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairtrade_labelling Economist article on impact / issues - http://www.economist.com/business/displaystory.cfm?story_id=8380592 ACI – American Consumer Institute - http://www.theamericanconsumer.org/ GrenerChoices – by Consumer Reports - http://www.greenerchoices.org/ Consumer Federation of America Funding Sources for Center for Science in the Public Interest -Private foundation grants make up approximately 5% to 10% of CSPI's annual revenue of $17 million.
