I am grateful every day for indoor plumbing and clean potable water flowing freely from our taps. I try not to take it for granted, especially with tragedies from Flynt Michigan to other water crises at home and abroad. Fracking, embodied water use, lack of clean water in developing countries, industrial competition and water as a right... all these issues play into the resource that we are most made of and most dependent upon. Still, we squander and poison our water.
Many misunderstand my outlook as pessimistic but I feel it is practical to take a hobbesian view and consider how our path might be influenced by selfish & self-interested parties,
