Mavenlink Enterprise Account Executive
Creative sales leader, you say? Here I am.
My experience with Clear Comfort, KLD, Lightservers, Vision Chemical Systems, Bluewolf and POINT380 are all germane to the opportunity to be Mavenlink's next Enterprise AE. Your description below sounds like me. I have extensive experience and references to support my candidacy.
The Opportunity
We are looking for energetic, driven Sales professionals with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude and proven sales experience to join our Sales organization as a Mid-Market (250 – 2,000 employees) Account Executive. You will be charged with growing our footprint in new mid-market accounts, focused on identifying, qualifying, and closing new opportunities. The ideal candidate should be a creative sales leader willing to test new approaches and ideas as we continue to build out a world-class organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales experience
3 years at KLD and 3 years between Lightservers and Grass Commons represent my SaaS-specific quota-carrying sales experience. If we broaden that to include technology sales, I've got over a decade of transferrable skills.
- Experience managing the sales cycle from project manager, business champion to the CIO, CEO and CFO levels
I have managed the cycle from soup to nuts, from cold call to close. The more advance dthe cycle and the less of it I have to manage, the more impact I can have. I'm excited about picking up qualified leads and confident I can bring them from there to close new business for Mavenlink.
- Track record of success in carrying a quota of $1M at a minimum
My book of business at KLD in 2002 was $3M and I was able to achieve $600K, net renewals in the face of the VP of Sales leaving for a direct competitor in my second year out of undergrad. I've only gotten better and wiser since then!
- Forecast sales activity and revenue achievement in Salesforce.com
I love Salesforce. I have a strong preference for it and have often made it a requirement of working with a company when I carry quota because I know what it has helped me do to leverage my time in a sales function as well as understand, coach and collaborate with fellow team members in team selling activity.
- Experience in selling both products and related services
At Vision Chemical Systems I sold products and evolved new-to-market services LaaS.
At Clear Comfort I sold pool and spa disinfection equipment to channel partners like Bradford Spas and to individual homeowners all over the US. I also sold the services of the equipment on a lease basis to schools, YMCAs, hotels, and other commercial facilities. This included the installation and post-install troubleshooting as the company launched new products into the market.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
This is my wheelhouse. I strongly encourage you to see how I write by looking at the article I published with RMI, the business plans I mostly wrote for X-Lint, and consider the fact that I scored in the 99th percentile in my GMAT verbal section. I love to write and communicate - I'm passionate about it. I have established myself as a resource for colleagues to write sensitive emails, craft business plans, build presentations, be the face of the company in cities all over the US, and
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Please see Wabash College and CU Leeds MBA
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
My entrepreneurial ventures including Lightservers, Mana Threads, and X-Lint taught me myriad lessons in multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management. It is another one of my strongest suits.
